Mumbai Gets Second Apple Store as Apple Expands Retail Footprint in India

Global tech giant Apple has announced that it will open its sixth official retail store in India on Thursday, 26 February 2026, bringing its distinctive branded store experience to Borivali in Mumbai. The new store — called Apple Borivali — will be the company’s second retail outlet in Mumbai after the Apple BKC store.

The Apple Borivali store is planned at Sky City Mall and is expected to open around 1 pm IST on launch day. Like other Apple stores in the country, it will allow customers to explore and purchase the full range of Apple products, get expert support from Specialists, Creatives and Geniuses, and participate in Today at Apple sessions — free in-store experiences that teach people how to make the most of their devices.

Ahead of opening, Apple has revealed the store’s barricade featuring a distinctive peacock-inspired design, a theme seen at recent Apple outlets in Bengaluru, Pune and Noida. Officials say the design reflects creativity, confidence and a sense of arrival and underscores the brand’s growing presence in the Indian market.

Apple’s expanding retail footprint in India — which began in 2023 with stores in Mumbai and New Delhi — signals the company’s increasing focus on the Indian consumer market, where demand for premium tech products has grown alongside record revenues and local manufacturing momentum.
